Maya Greene

Communication that grows what matters

Cultivate connection.
Grow together.

For most organizations, the hardest work isn't the strategy. It's how people work together around it.

I help leaders & teams cultivate the conditions where people can communicate openly, navigate difference, build trust, & grow together. Drawing on the principles of regenerative agriculture, my work helps organizations create relationships & cultures that become stronger, more resilient, & more connected over time.

Rooted

Healthy organizations are rooted in healthy relationships.

Every organization is a network of relationships. The way people communicate can either nourish those relationships or deplete them. When trust and connection begin to erode, even the best strategies struggle to take root. Communication becomes guarded. Differences become divisions. People disengage.

I help leaders & teams cultivate something different: relationships that can withstand tension, adapt to change, & grow stronger over time. Because when people feel able to speak honestly, listen with curiosity, navigate differences, & engage in repair, they do more than improve communication; they create the conditions for the whole organization to thrive.

Expertise

30 years studying human communication. Decades learning from living systems.

For 30 years, I've studied & taught human communication, exploring how we build trust, navigate conflict, make meaning, & create relationships that can grow through challenge & change.

My education in living systems began much earlier. I grew up on a homestead where many of the practices that we now call regenerative were simply part of how we lived. For nearly a decade, I've put those principles into practice more intentionally, building regenerative agricultural systems on my own farm & learning firsthand what allows living systems to flourish.

Over time, I began to see a powerful connection between these two parts of my life. Healthy soil & healthy human systems depend on many of the same things: strong roots, diversity, reciprocity, responsiveness, & care for the conditions that sustain the whole.

Today, I bring those worlds together, combining decades of expertise in human communication with the principles of regeneration to help people cultivate relationships, cultures, & organizations that become stronger, more resilient, and more connected over time.

Maya is incredibly gifted at meeting people where they are. While many speakers arrive with a predetermined vision, Maya has the rare ability to listen, adjust, & allow the audience to help shape the direction of the narrative. That flexibility created a richer & more authentic experience, & ensured that the stories resonated deeply with those who experienced them.

I have had the privilege of attending multiple retreats lead by Maya, & each experience profoundly shaped how I understand communication, vulnerability, & connection. She creates an intentional sense of safety that allows people to move into deep interpersonal work with honesty, curiosity, & care. Maya instinctively creates the spaciousness for difficult material to be explored & digested, while offering practical & thoughtful communication tools that have continued to influence how I relate to both myself & others.
